Janet Homes enjoys reading, writing, and poetry in her spare time.  She also loves to tinker at anything she can get her hands on. Of course, that’s the creative inventor side of her.   But, writing short stories for children is her cup of tea.  She believes writing is like a sweet cup of herbal tea.  Just a couple of sips and she’s hooked.  She also enjoy writing poems for children.  She believes writing is soothing to the mind, heart and soul.

Janet Homes received her BA degree at Queens College in Sociology and minored in Early Childhood, Elementary Education.  She has 16 years experience working with children of all ages.

She aspires to help children become better learners through reading.  She is involved in health and wellness programs in her community for children and adult.  She is a mother and grandmother and lives in New York City.
